Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a follow up to a previous post about running (4) 8tb 4kn drives as a 32tb raid 0.  Initially the 2308 controller(P12 bios v3.96) would see the 4kn drives but not write or format. The fix was to update the lsi 2308 firmware with 'LSI 9217 8i P20'. Completely solved the problem and I am getting 950MBs sustained read/write with empty raid 0.

As an added note I have Sabrient Rocket NVME runnning with both win10 and win7 on a dual xeon cpu that passmarked at 93% in 2020...

Without a bios upgrade to acknowledge the nvme I cannot boot to it but it works fine as a data drive and with split win10 os.  Read 3200/write 2600MBs. The good win7 driver was a bear to find...

Thank you Concertv for the solution clue.

As a follow up post, I thought I'd post what I have working on a z820 dual 2650v3 system.  I took a sawsall to the case (carefully) and modified the 3 front drive bays for a 5 slot Kingston sas adapter and added an additional sas controller.  The extra 3 sas ports are used for a 3 ssd raid 0 running at 1300/1100MBs.  The Rocket nvme is running at 3600/2600MBs and 2 WD blue 1 tb ssds in the primary slots. I also added (4) 8tb 4kn drives to the 2308 controller (P20) 950/930MBs empty sustained, and an addition (5) disk sas raid 0 750/730MBs.  The m1115 controller allows me to hot swap my raids in the 5 slot kingston (p20). I have run (4) 8tb 512 drives in raid 0 820/760MBs but as an older controller it cannot see 4kn drives.  I multi-boot directly to win10 or win7 os's without an additional usb drive and see the nvme fine.  The nvme driver for the win7 was difficult to find...

I also run 10gbe and multiple lans with multiple 4k monitors.  Passmark in early 2020 was 93% stock.(win10 tweaked).

I have run 2308 sas 32tb raid 0, sas 32tb raid 0, 3 ssd raid 0, nvme and 2 wd blue 1tb with an empty hot swap drive bay simultaneously for 68tb total. Could do more... I generally move data at 600-800MBs on full drives. Wish there was a bios update for NVME...  System is about maxed out. No empty pci slots.
