My offices have Dell & HP Workstations (not consumer lines). The Dell units have an app named Dell Command update that alerts driver updates & allows us to manually install them when desired. It's my understanding that HP Softpaq used to do this for HP workstations yet HP's client management page here indicates that was discontinued in July.

What is HP's successor to Softpaq that accomplishes the same function?

Thanks for the heads up. I just launched it and see how it lists potential driver updates from a system scan. The Dell Command update utility is a resident app that alerts users of driver updates whenever they go live and the user can choose whichever drivers they'd like to update on reboot.
I see this has to be run manually. Also, I'll assume it's just a glitch but this missed a critical driver update for the onboard video that's otherwise prominently noted on the HP drivers page for our model workstation. I appreciate your getting me in the right direction as to HP's equivalent app. I think I'll just have to use HP's option to receive email alerts for driver updates instead.
Have a great weekend. Cheers.

Hello
it's HP Image Assistant. HP included SDM function in HP IA
or you can use even HP Client management Power Shell script library.
Finally , if you have MS SCCM, you can add HP MIK that includes also the capability to download driver packs and drivers

Top notch! That does have the same function as Dell Command Update. Oddly in my case it doesn't alert me to any updates.
By chance does this HP Support Assistant only provide driver support for consumer lines of business and that's why it returned zero updates available for these workstation units?
I know there should be at least two per the HP support site indicating important BIOS & GPU security updates are available for my units. At least HP Image Assistant alerted to update the BIOS and integrated NIC even though it missed the updated GPU driver.
