I guess Elon and I both are not so sure about having Windows Copilot looking over our shoulders...
Here's how to turn that off via the Group Policy Editor. The default is that Copilot is ON because the policy to turn it OFF is set to "Not Configured" by default. Tricky. This works for W10/11 Pro.
Go to Start Menu or Search and find "Edit Group Policy"/ Local Group Policy Editor opens/ on left side under Local Cpmputer Policy go down to the User Configuration set and single left-click on the Administrative Templates folder there.
This opens the Administrative Templates set in the right-side window. Go down to the Windows Components folder there and double left-click on it. This opens a long set of Windows Components setting folders and go down there to the Windows Copilot folder. Double left-click on that, which opens the Windows Copilot settings. You can use the Extended or Standard bottom-left tabs there... I use Extended.
Single right-click on the "Turn off Windows Copilot" setting and drag down to Edit. This opens a new window, and that is set by default to Not Configured. Change it to Enabled. This enables the turning OFF of Windows Copilot. Don't choose Disable instead. Finally click on OK (or Apply and then OK... same thing) and restart the computer. Copilot will be off now, and the bottom right taskbar Copilot icon will also be gone.
