I have an HP Z4 G4 workstation that came with Win 10 pre-installed. I want to install Ubuntu 20.04 also in dual boot mode.
I have created bootable USB using rufus with GPT partition and UEFI mode. Enabled USB boot, disabled secure boot and enabled legacy support in BIOS setup. Even then my USB drive is not listed in the boot menu.
I tried creating bootable USB drives for Windows 11 and ubuntu 18.04 also, but no luck!
In BIOS settings, SATA RAID is on but I am not sure whether it is the cause for the USB being undetected. I am afraid to turn it off as it might lead to loss of Windows files.
Please provide a solution for this issue.
Thanks in advance!

Definitely not.

The BIOS may have 3 settings: IDE (very old disk-drives), AHCI, and AHCI+RAID.
If you have not created a "RAID-set", then your boot-drive is not within that "RAID-set", and will continue to be your boot-drive.
For "security" purposes, some computers' BIOS can be configured to NOT boot from USB devices -- you don't want some unauthorized person to boot your computer from their own USB device. Check your BIOS settings.

In BIOS settings USB booting option is enabled. To my wonder, the system is detecting USB drive and proceeded to installation when I tried with the MBR partition scheme in Rufus. But both HDDs are GPT partitioned. I don't know why it is happening but I don't want to install it by using MBR scheme as it doesn't support UEFI mode and the WINDOWS is installed in UEFI mode.
Why it is not recognizing USB drive in UEFI mode? In the UEFI boot order only hard discs are present, no USB option.
Images of BIOS boot setup is attached.
