We have several RP9 POS terminals that were purchased pre-loaded with Windows 7 Embedded POS and due to a recent MS update, we are no longer able to used the shared kitchen printers our POS software requires.
Can these devices be updated to WIndows 10?

@WachesawIT -- is it possible for you to "uninstall" the latest Windows Updates, to return your computers to a status where the printers do work?
Which POS software are you using? Have they updated their software, to be compatible with the newest Microsoft updates?
Can the vendor of the POS software certify that the most-recent release of their software will run under Windows 10?
Also, Microsoft and/or HP may have removed support for your specific ticket-printers -- while the printers are supported in Windows 7, they might not be supported in Windows 10. You really need to do a lot of testing, before upgrading your computer(s) to Windows 10, because a "complete outage" of your POS system will cause you to lose computers.

most likely as HP offers it with win 10
but it somewhat depends on just what hardware your units were configured with (cpu/ram/Storage)
it also depends on just what software you plan on running

if you have a i5 cpu and 8gb ram and at least a 500gb HD/SSD then win 10 should run fine i recommend you purchase a HP specific build of win 10 that hp has for these devices rather than a retail win 10 as the HP specific build works with remote mgmt software and has specific software apps for help networking this box and the installed OS is a bit slimmer in it's used installed space

We had a hard drive fail on one of our terminals about a year ago and after HP replaced it, the image they gave us to reload was a Win10 version which loaded and worked OK, so I think we should be OK.
At your suggestion, I'll reach out to get an HP build.

Do you still have that image? If so, can you re-use it ???
