just about any video card made in the past 15 years will support the "VGA" mode
i recommend you take the time to reread the hardware requirements of your OS

There are display port to VGA adapters from HP you might want..... look at 752661-001 and 753745-001 or -002 images on eBay. You then would get a VGA-VGA cable also.
Also there are the common short DVI-I to VGA adapters we all have thrown out so many of.
Look up your video card..... its DVI port(s) often include connector sites for the analog video signals that VGA uses. You can buy cables with DVI-I on one end and VGA on the other in that case. More precise, you'd buy a single-link DVI-I to VGA cable. The "I" represents the alalog signal wires. With VGA you'd be using none of the digital signals.
