Recently re-installed Windows 11 24H2.
Using an HP VROC adapter for running two personality modules in Raid 1.
Works Ok but I keep getting a message on using the GUI that I am using old drivers that may not work properly.
I've installed the latest drivers on the HP website but still get the same problem.
Help would be appreciated.

Intel is the creator of vroc................HP may not have the latest drivers posted
either use the intel driver check util or manually install the latest vroc driver from intel's website

I've installed the Intel Drivers and Support Assistant on many of our HP workstations. It is from Intel for Intel hardware and works to find and install up to date drivers from Intel that the Microsoft Windows Update system may have missed.
It is good but not 100% perfect. For example, it may find and download an Intel driver installer and then nothing seems to happen. In that case minimize the DSA window and the installer will usually have been opened behind it and clearly available for you to activate.
Another issue was that it kept seeing a W11 networking hardware driver deficiency on the HP workstations, report it, I'd download it, try to install it, and fail. I finally surmounted that by finding a Dell installer that worked perfectly to update to exactly the driver that was needed, and that DSA warning was resolved and never came back.
I'll post an update later today giving that Dell link here.
I keep the Intel DSA icon visible at the bottom right area of the taskbar (the "system tray") because if DSA finds a new driver it automatically flags it with a little red ball at the icon's top right corner. This is what it looks like when nothing is missing:

Thanks for the update, I will try the auto update program.
Only reason I have not downloaded any drivers from Intel is that the ones I tried refused to install as I'm on Windows 11 and the ones I found were mainly for server software.
Dell link would be good as well.
So far have tried to get the official HP drivers but the one on their website has the same problem.
Many thanks for the assistance

Happy to help. I too have found that driver searching via the Intel site is less effective than it used to be, and have been very pleased to see how well the Intel Driver and Support Assistant works instead. Google should find the Intel DSA download for you (spell it out fully). DSA will update itself correctly too, and let you approve each update of drivers. The good Dell download link for the latest Intel W11 network adapter driver Intel DSA provided (which did not work properly) is HERE .
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-fj/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=d8vdt
On multiple newer and older HP workstations and even some older business class HP PCs such at the E8300 and P6300 (all W11 24H2 upgraded) the installer that Intel DSA provided failed. The pic below shows one example of three DSA fails, and then success after I ran that Dell updater (which worked for all of them):
Top success after Dell updater run...
Of interest, I learned something new as a result of looking at the new driver's properties via Device Manager... how can that new Intel driver's date be from 2016 for W11?:
Note correct new version but date from 2016
It turns out that driver dates viewed this way are often backdated on purpose. It is the driver version to pay attention to. The certificate signature date for this driver's installer is actually 2/7/24. I found a brief explanation why driver dates may be backdated... worth reading HERE, and I'm sure it's even more complicated than that.

This fixed our issue, got the latest W11 network driver installed, and I did try to contact Intel about the fix.

SDH, and anyone interested the intel 82579LM (note the LM suffix!!)
is a OEM variant of the 82579 series
and while the intel network driver package
does include drivers for the non OEM 82579 network chips
intel only includes a very generic vanilla "82579LM" driver
and strongly recommends you use the venders customized driver when possible to have any customized feature sets/configurations the OEM vender may have enabled this is important if for example using the "AMT" remote features on the computer or the OEM is using a customized power plan or custom network card configurations such as CISCO based specific configurations
however, most home users that just need basic network connectivity without vender specific Nic features will usually be fine with anybody's 82579LM driver
the latest intel 82579 series driver can be manually installed on a 82579LM by using the latest intel network driver package (currently 30.1) and then manually installing the driver using the let me select the device/network card and then have disk option
Device manager, right-click on the existing entry,
Update driver, Browse my computer…, Let me pick ..., Have disk,
Browse to the driver's folder,
Select inf file,
Open, OK,
select the correct hardware from the list if there are multiple entries shown,
Next,
then it will install even if it older or less suitable.
This is procedure for installing driver manually.
if the installer said “device cannot be found”
try installing directly from the shown INF file(s).
Warning, you need to determine the correct inf file do not guess!!
Go to driver folder, right click on inf file, then select Install.
This method may fail if the inf file doesn’t contain a [Install] section.

Thanks to all who have looked at this post and have replied.
Especially DGroves.
However I still have a problem, the Intel Driver Update programn ran and found a newer driver for networks that HP had not offered (yet).
The issue I am having is with the Intel Virtual Raid on CPU solution that can be used on HP Workstations.
Mine is a Z8 G4, currently running two(2) Zeon cpu's
As it has four 3.5in hard drives - expensive to run and a bit slow I opted to buy two(2) HP personality cards.
Populated these with four nvme 1TB modules and its a lot faster.
I just had to up the fan speed a bit to keep them cool.
So with the Intel/HP VROC (basic key) I can run them in Raid 1.
But with W11 24H2 as a new install I am getting an error every time I start the GUI.
States the GUI is up-to-date but the driver is an old one.
No new driver on HP web site, not sure how to get their attention as I don't have a service contract.
Any thoughts on this part?

start by posting the driver install package name and where downloaded from,
also post a description of the currently installed driver version
we need the intel/HP vroc driver and the installed RSTe driver
or a picture of the driver properties page
without the above basic information
there is little chance of getting useable help
other than what has been previous given
