Product: HP xw6600 Base Model Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am wondering what changes in a workstation when one removes the clock battery. I recently changed mine - the CR2032 coin battery that provides power to the clock. I know one loses the system time. What else changes? Anyone have a reasonably good handle on this?
I am trying to solve a problem. Something changed in my computer from changing the clock battery and I do not know what. If I know, perhaps I can address it and fix the problem I have.
I replaced my clock battery and ever since I can no longer get sound from my workstation. The sound 'card' is built in to the motherboard. A Realtek ALC262 device. I get a "cannot start (Code 10)" error.
