Sorry if this is aready posted here some where. My searches failed to find it and trying to use that pages where you insert equipment name and etc ends up just telling me there is no software available for my equipment.
I have two xw8600 workstations.
0ne running windows 10 with BIOS Version/Date 786F5 v01.27, 08/08/2008
One running an open source version of Solaris-11 called `openindiana/hipster'
with BIOS Version/Date 786F5 v01.46, 09/20/2012
I think version 01.46 may be the most recent but not really sure... also I was not able to find out where to get it.
So, where can I get the most recent bios for HP xw8600 Workstation. And how to install it.

Hi:
According to the support page, the last BIOS version released for the xw8600 was v01.46.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-xw8600-workstation/3432827
Direct link to the flash file...
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59001-59500/sp59218.exe
When you run the file, an information window will open.
Use the F10 BIOS flash method to update the BIOS in the PC running W10, because the Windows Based BIOS Flash program was not written to update the BIOS when running W10.
That is the easiest thing to do.
Get a usb flash drive. Format it with the FAT32 file system.
Copy the contents of the DOS flash folder after you run the above file to the USB flash drive.
Restart the PC.
Tap the F10 key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get access to the BIOS.
Select the File menu>Flash system ROM command.
Select the USB drive and the PC should 'see' the files on the USB flash drive.
Follow the on screen instructions to update the BIOS.
