Hi
I'm just wondering if the HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF work with TWO Nvidia 710 video cards? I run three monitors and the video card doesn't play particularly nice in combination with the onboard graphics. I use Photoshop for my work and it generates errors, images don't appear properly etc.

It's running a Radeon HD8490 at the moment, I'm using it alongside onboard graphics to use the three monitors. Most things are fine but Photoshop doesn't like it.
I don't want to spend work money on two cards if they're not going to work in the machine!

Hi,
Assume?
You might want to look at the AMD R5 230 low profile models.

By assume I mean there are two physical slots on the motherboard that the cards could plug into. Speccy had this to say:
Slot PCI-E
Slot Type PCI-E
Slot Usage Available
Data lanes x16
Slot Designation X16PCIEXP
Characteristics 3.3V, PME
Slot Number 0
Slot PCI-E
Slot Type PCI-E
Slot Usage In Use
Data lanes x4
Slot Designation X4PCIEXP
Characteristics 3.3V, PME
Slot Number 1

I had a look at both Radeon and nVidia cards on Gigabyte's, the 710 supports 3 outputs (multiview) and recommends a 300w power supply, the Radeon 230 supports 2 outputs (multiview) and recommends a 400w power supply. I may try one 710 and see how it goes. I'm concerned about the power usage obviously but the card will only be used for Photoshop, not gaming so it will not likely reach maximum draw. Thanks for your input, this process has been helpful.

Hi,
When the low profile plate is used, the video outputs are reduced to two as would be the power draw.
From what I can find for a wattage draw, 19 watts is very low yet a 400 watt PSU is suggested.
