Z840
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After research on internet finally decided to Install Windows 11 on my Z840...

I'm upgrade TPM from 1.2 to 2.0 before upgrade. So, only CPU  not pass the Windows 11 requirement, everything else fine. My question is, since Xeon E5 V3/4 is not officially supported by Windows 11 is HP will continue support  Z840 with driver/ firmware update for Windows 11 ?

Thankyou

no, hp will not be testing and officially  supporting windows 11 on the Zx40 line of workstations due to the fact that these workstations are in extended support which means no new features or new OS's will be validated, only security updates will be applied

however since these systems do officially support windows 10 and windows 11 is based off of 10 you should have no issues with running 11 other than the mentioned CPU not supported issue which means that the release ver of 11 on your z840 most likely not receive MS auto updates other than security related ones per Microsoft
