Hi @2NewAt_This

Sorry to see this.

I don't know what component is in trouble since the error codes you see don't match the possible error codes in the user manual.

A 7 blink and 7 beep error code in the user manual is a possible system board failure. There is no 10 blink error code in the HP user manual.

Remove the CR2032 battery and let the PC sit for a few minutes to reset CMOS. Try a new CR2032 battery.

Check the DVD for a disk.

Run the PC in a minimum config: (try each stick of RAM, one at a time, in each memory slot, the CPU, and onboard graphics or try each graphics card if the CPU does not support onboard graphics).

Disconnect: all drives (SATA storage and the DVD), any other add-in PCIe cards, and front panel USB including a card reader if the PC has this. Disconnect optional peripherals.

Regards

The CR2032 battery that I removed was tested reading .5 v. I plan to install the original video card, there is a walk in "mom & pop" style of PC service store close, I will try this first. If anything develops, I will post what was found.

Many, many thanks to this HP forum and many thanks Bill_To and max_well854 for all the help!

There is news, it is my belief all 3 of the NVIDA graphics card are not working. Earlier today I stopped at my local PC shop, they had a graphics card that showed on the screen that a totally different graphics card, will allow PC to boot-up. I emailed the place where I got the used NVIDA graphics cards asking for 1 that works, let's see what happens.

When the PC booted-up, there was an additional "pulse 2" (I am not completely shore of the name of the error, other that there was talk of memory error) error code.

My hope is a different graphics card, or same card that is tested, will allow this PC to work. The software (SolidWorks 2010) has some requirements for the graphics card (512 memory) on that card, I think.

Many, many thanks. Suggestions are welcomed.

Hi @2NewAt_This

My pleasure.

Let's hope the problem is being caused by faulty graphics cards.

Let the Forum know how it goes.
