I bought one of these sans wifi modules hoping to upgrade down the line

Unfortunately, I just now realized that it only has one antenna — not two

In other words, the units that ship from the factory with a WiFi module have *two* antennas installed, and mine only has one antenna

1.) Will it even work with just one antenna?

2.) How can I get the other antenna?

The OEM adapter is an Intel AX211, which is Wifi 6E and Bluetooth.

I looked on HP PartSurfer and I found the right part

FYI the second antenna isn't just for bluetooth, it's used for 2x2 MIMO Wifi

I would also like to add that using Bluetooth with just one antenna plugged in is virtually unusable, devices won’t connect unless they are right on top of the computer

This is yet another bean counter move from HP, that antenna piece can’t cost them more than a few cents internally!

the OEM HP adapter may be a bluetooth only, but most likely is a wifi plus bluetooth,  and if so would only require one antenna while you can also have wifi plus bluetooth on one antenna  the wifi range is less than a dual antenna

most bluetooth adapters sold nowadays are wifi plus bluetooth, as such they have two antennas

for these adapters, one antenna is wifi + bluetooth and the other is wifi only, so connect the bluetooth lead to one connector and if the bluetooth range is almost non existent use the other one which will be the wifi plus bluetooth one

you can add a second antenna, these "antenna kits" are sold on amazon or ebay, however they are generic kits and will require you to determine if the internal or external kit would be best

here's one such kit using internal antennas, that comes with a wifi card
