My workstation freezes (mouse does not move, video and audio pause) several times per day for 1-2 seconds and then continues on.

It comes with Nvidia T400 video card.

Windows 11 Pro is up to date. HP drivers and BIOS too. Any ideas?

Disabled these HP Windows Services and the problem went away for me.

  • HP Analytics service
  • HP App Helper HSA Service
  • HP Diagnostics HSA Service
  • HP DSU LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching Service
  • HP DSU Service
  • HP Network HSA Service
  • HP Services Scan
  • HP SFU Service
  • HP System Info HSA Service

They will become re-enabled after a bit (days to weeks sometimes), so I made a script to run every day to disable them.

Disabling HP services seems to solve the problem!

But come on HP, fix your software! I've been having this issue for many months now.

I'm testing out just disabling these services as they were the only ones unique on our Z2 G9s compared to our HP laptops:

  • HP Services Scan (most likely culprit)
  • HP SFU Service
