HP Z4 G4 Workstation

Since the other entries on this question have been locked, I will break the bad news...

I got this error following an update from BIOS 2.7x to 2.90. The BIOS was updated within BIOS (along with another 15 workstations) and was not interrupted in any way. I am now unable to enter the BIOS setup (F10), but following an eventual boot into windows I was able to downgrade BIOS to 2.86, though this did not resolve the issue.

While the workstation will eventually boot and appears to operate normally it is very, very unhappy. A crash requiring a reboot would be not possible to initiate remotely due to command prompts of the AMT error.

HP says I require a new motherboard. My unit is out of warranty.

Conclusion - if your unit is out of warranty be very wary about updating your BIOS.

If by some miracle, you are aware of a solution - please post a reply.
