I already got the front IO/USB but it has an issue with providing enough power for some USB disks and for some i get "Power surge on USB port". The USB disks work without this issue in my Z4 G4.
I want to free up one PCIe slot to install a USB-C card since that card works without flaws. For storage i use the ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 Card so i have four M.2´s on that card and two M.2´on the motherboard, so i got more than enough of storage today. 🙂

Back to your desire for added PCIe slot(s)... FYI the OCuLink port on the motherboard in your Z4 G5 (also present in my Z4 G4) provides us with an added option. Those are present to interface with the optional Premium Front IO/USB Type-C 20 Gbps signaling rate with USB Power Delivery 3.0 interface and yet most of us don't order that, leaving the motherboard's OCuLink port open for use.

I have the Premium front I/O interface that came with the computer. I already have the USB-C card, it´s a Delock 89035.

What PCIe card for USB-C are you looking at?
