Hello,
after a video card update I start to have 6 beeps error. Then I restore the previous video card and the WS turn on normally. I changed the configuration of the BIOS trying to enable the new video card. Since this point my WS never restart, I can use the old and the new card and never come back to work. Still the 6 beeps at the beginning every time and no way to restore the BIOS, even following the BIOS clean procedure (5 sec button pressed with all the cable unconnected). I can see the effect on the button. The only power on the board is the 3V battery anche the button works ( I can see it creates the short, but not restoring the BIOS to the factory default settings).
Can anybody advice?
Thanks

did you enable the "compute" option in the bios? and if so did you do it for just the video slot or all slots?
if compute was enabled in the bios for ONLY ONE SLOT, move the working video card to a different slot and disable the compute option
The Diagnostic LED blinks red 6 times and the system beeps 6 times (once per second), then a 2-second pause follows:
This indicates a pre-video graphic card error.
To resolve the issue, complete the following steps:
1) Reseat the graphics card.
2) Replace the graphic card.
3) Replace the system board.
