Z400 Workstation v2 DRAM Frequency shows 533MHz. Is this normal? My other DDR3 PC with AMD CPU shows 667MHz. Checked BIOS with latest update and dont see anywhere I could see for frequency.

ram speed is set by the memory modules, the installed cpu and last by the bios
just because the ram is able to run faster, than the 533mhz value the cpu (and bios) must also support faster speeds
the z400 supports 800 MHz, 1066 MHz and 1333 MHz DDR3
if you are in dual channel mode then your RAM is being accessed 1066 million times per second with the clock running at 533MHz. (533x2=1066)
non standard memory configurations (IE- different sized modules or odd number of dimm modules) will result in single channel memory mode
DDR3-800 | PC3-6400 | 6400 MB/s |
DDR3-1066 | PC3-8500 | 8533 MB/s |
DDR3-1333 | PC3-10600 | 10667 MB/s |
your installed cpu's memory controller may only support the JDEC 533MHz speed
and even if the dimm module(s) and cpu supports the faster 667MHz speeds the bios may not allow overclocking via intel's XMP setting or the AMD equivalent of it
