Hi,
I've LSI SAS 2008 installed in PCI slot 3. I'm getting this error when I re-organize the HDD connections. I want to move the SSDs I've installed in Bay 0 &1 to an ICY box enclosure I installed. I connected controller port 2,3 to the enclosure and kept 0,1 connected to the internal HDD bay. After power up, I get error 110. I reverted the connections back and I don't get this error.
Any idea what could be wrong?
Thanks

reset bios to factory defaults, by removing the pwr cable then pressing the pwr button and the remove the side cover and press cmos reset (or remove cmos battery)
reinstall battery, side cover pwr cord and boot into bios, now read below for possible solution to rom space error
some add in cards and motherboard onboard devices such as raid controllers, network cards have a onboard rom that the motherboard bios then integrates allowing the device to work as intended
this rom space is limited and some systems (like the z620) have very limited rom space and can display a out of option rom error message when a new or existing device is added or enabled
you can resolve the error by disabling any onboard devices in the computer's bios that are not used which have option roms like the onboard network card rom can be disabled if booting from it is not required, same for a onboard SATA/SCSI/SAS controller which is not used as a bootable device
some bios's (like the z620) also have a option to disable a PCI slot's ability to load the option rom on a installed card if said card will not be used as a boot device
last, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ENABLE THE COMPUTE OPTIONS OF ANY PCI-E SLOT!!!!
doing so will prevent any video cards display section from functioning,...the compute is only used in very rare configurations where specific software supports a secondary video device as a non display device, but accesses it as a secondary compute/cpu like device instead
