Greetings Forum,

On the back of the Z620 there are two network interface connections.

One of them labelled "AMT", so I guess that is the dedicated management interface port.

Both of them connects to my LAN w/o any problem.

Is there any recommendation  which one to prefer

if not using the AMT features. I am thinking network traffic buffering cache or similar.

for most users the answer is either,

the main difference that I'm aware of is that remote management is only available on the  ( AMT port) via dash protocol

as i recall the non "AMT" port is a full featured Nic that has a few capabilities the "AMT" port lacks if you want to see the difference's, simply look at the device manager to determine the network chip used for each port once you have this google the chip number for detailed information on each chip

these should be the chips used, but i could be wrong so check device manager

RJ-45 network connectors (2, orange)
Top connector is AMT enabled

on the document in French it is specified
The bottom connector is optimized for AMT
so it doesn't matter, but if not used the first must be ok!
