I recently got a used Z620 workstation with a Xeon E5 2667 v2, I want to get a processor riser with a secondary CPU, do I have to get the same processor or can I have 2 different Processors?

G3k0,
The two processors must be identical. Further, the RAM for both processors must be ECC-registered and the best chances of compatibility and good performance is to use identical modules in the same size- for example 4X8GB + 4X 8GB , using HP-labelled memory. The label ensures that that particular memory was tested and verified by HP. Consult the memory placement chart to make sure the modules are in the right channels for CPU0.
The E5-2667 v2 is a really smart choice.
