Hello I replaced the motherboard on my HP z820 and the machine starts but will not acknowledge windows on the hard drive I reinstalled windows from a usb drive which it does see the hard drive and it still will not acknowledge windows at boot up. I ran bootec /scanos and it keeps returning 0 windows installations found. I also changed the bios between legacy and UEFI  but the issue remains, does anyone have an idea what this might be? also would updating the BIOS fix this? The motherboard is model HP Z820 619562-001

if you have the boot drive connected to one of the 4 Intel "SCU" controller SATA ports that are next to the two grey normal MS SATA 6GBps ports you will need the intel RSTe "f6"driver available during the OS install in order for these ports to be seen during the OS install

the same applies to the onboard LSI SAS/SATA ports that are the 7 white connectors running along the bottom edge of the motherboard you need the LSI 2008/mustang " f6" driver

it's strongly recommended to place the boot drive on one of the two "GREY (or blue) MS SATA ports

if you have any further questions "PM" me directly
