Hi all,

I am buffled by this and hope to get some help.

Basically I got a Z840 recently (I have 820 as well which is a great server machine). Got Windows 11 installed with all the latest updates / drivers.

It works fine but when I try to encode a few video files in hadbrake it randomly restarts. There's no bluescreen involved (I looked for reports via BSviewer and couldnt find any logs).

Same issue happens if I run OBS and do a bandwidth test with x264 (didnt try NVENC but I sense it wont be any different).

 

Reliability report says:

The previous system shutdown at 13:15:22 on ‎07.‎02.‎2023 was unexpected.

 

System logs from  around that time:

The access history in hive \??\C:\Users\Ash\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\Helium\User.dat was cleared updating 1 keys and creating 1 modified pages.

I dont assume windows photos caused this? 

Application logs dont show anything abnormal around that time period.

Volume C: (\Device\HarddiskVolume4) is healthy. No action is needed.

 

 

I suspect this is PSU related?  I did Windows memory test, Bios Memory test, CPU test (bios), Prime95, no issues detected. CPU runs in 55-63C at max load.

Any thoughts?
