Ich habe gestern auf unserer HP ZBook 17 G5 Mobile Workstation ein BIOS Update auf die Version 01.04.05 Rev.A durchgeführt. Nach der Fertigstellung bemerkte ich das unsere USB-C > HDMI Adapter von Lindy Typ USB 3.1 Typ C an HDMI / DVI / VGA Konverter No. 43233 nicht mehr funktionieren.

 

Daraufhin kontaktierte ich den HP Support. Folgende Lösungsvorschläge vom Support führte ich durch, die das Problem aber nicht beheben konnten.

 

Löschung des Speichers durch drücken der Tasten WIN + B + Power

Download und Ausführung des Softpaq Tools

 

Leider war es nicht möglich mit dem Telefon Support eine brauchbare Lösung zu erarbeiten und deshalb habe ich wieder die BIOS Version 01.01.05 Rev.A eingespielt. Glücklicherweise funktionieren die USB-C Anschlüsse nun wieder wie gewohnt.

 

Da wir nun mehrere ZBooks G5 als Video Zuspieler für unsere Veranstaltungen verwenden bitte ich um die Beantwortung einer essenziellen Frage.

 

Werden USB-C Adapter anderer Hersteller boykottiert oder handelt es sich um einen Fehler in der BIOS Version 01.04.05 Rev.A

 

Signalflow:

BIOS 01.01.05 Rev.A:

Lindy USB-C > HDMI = funktioniert / OK

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2(2UK37AA) = funktioniert / OK

 

BIOS 01.04.05 Rev.A:

Lindy USB-C > HDMI = funktioniert NICHT / NOT OK

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2(2UK37AA) = funktioniert / OK
