Hi @abdallah9
from the firmware I see you have a Zbook Power G7, I have the same model, is an optional fingerprint, it is purchased separately.

no, the sensor in the cover is there, what is not there is the internal module that activates the fingerprint, this is normal in all these models, it is an optional.

You can find the missing module if you did not get this option. It also could be there but defective. The info below and Google can get you going. See the bottom video link first, from HP, and go into it to 14:45 to start with. You'll need to be handy if you choose to add in a module and I'd check first to make sure you have the necessary ribbon cable and silver metal baseplate hopefully in place even if you don't have the sensor module yet.
HP ZBook Power G7 fingerprint sensor (AKA "fingerprint reader").
HP part number = M07151-001 (Search for that via google to see cost and sources, and also check HP PartSurfer because recent new parts may be even less expensive directly from HP)
Edit: A couple of pictures and you'll also see the parts in the HP parts video:

(a video from HP on how to install/replace the sensor/reader module; see 14:45-16:10 in the video)

Keep in mind that any Zbook model that has facial recognition, as yours does, does not have a fingerprint and is an optional feature.

You mention the module is actually present. I guess the module could be defective. However, perhaps it is a licensed add-in that might require a firmware activation for a fee. I've not seen that approach for HP hardware devices, but I have seen that for activation of features in certain non-HP software we use here.

As I indicated in my first message I have the same model, the fingerprint is optional.

has facial recognition that is clearly visible in the Device Manager.
the reason that does not work is several, first I see in the image that you uploaded that there is conflict in firmware, this is BIOS firmware, surely you updated via Windows Update and failed, you must have many notifications to restart the device, this is a very dangerous error that can leave your device as desktop decoration.
Then the first thing to do is to download this application.
HP Image Assistant | HP Client Management Solutions
runs it and it will surely show you the drivers that you have not updated and the BIOS, first download the BIOS, then enter the device manager and go to firmware drivers and uninstall the driver, then reboot the device, and then run the BIOS to update, this update has many restarts, the device shuts down completely, do not interrupt never let it finish when you re-enter windows it can take up to 15 minutes or more for this BIOS update.
Then we will see if I configure windows Hello or if I have the webcam protected with the black button that covers the webcam lens.
