Hi i have a 8200 elite sff and am getting a geeforce gt1030 2gb ddr4 low profile gpu this week new it uses x4 and i have a x4/and a x8 slot does it matter which one i put it in since it will run at x4
any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi:
I have the GDDR5 model of the GT1030 in my 8200 Elite CMT.
I have my card in the black slot, which is the x16 slot.
Looking at the locations of the two slots in the SFF model in chapter 8, page 176 of the service manual, I'd put the card in the PCIe x 16 slot so it is further away from the processor.
It may help a little better with cooling.
