but, vga requird 300w psu.

( 400w's hook should be move 8mm (0.3") to back plane side, but it looks like in same position from the other end. )

if you have any good idea please let me know.

you would be better off using a HP z240 power adapter cable that allows a standard ATX supply to be used

depending on the video card wattage and installed parts in the system, a 650-800 watt single rail ATX supply will be required

you can find small form factor atx supplies online, silverstone makes quite a few of these

your HP 400 watt supply even if pin compatible will not fit in a SFF enclosure as it's made for a standard tower case and therefor two large to fit

thanks for reply,

but z240 sff doesn't fit atx or tfx.

however it seems nearer tfx than atx.

you were told to look at the silverstone power supplies as they make flex-atx compatible units that should fit in the available space

note that i am not saying they are drop in replacements, only that they should fit in the available space, it's up to you to make a adapter plate to mate the supply with the case

here's a link that shows the 400 watt supply dimensions, again as i recall this unit is to large to fit your system however i could be wrong so measure your supply

you will also need to check the pinout of the 6 pin connector (p2) to confirm it matches your pinout

this is why i recommend the  silverstone supply and the adapter, more wattage and you know the pinout is correct
