HP Z6 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing windows updates KB4565503 and KB4565627 I have had two Z6 G4 workstations that are having slowdown issues in Windows 10. Everything becomes unresponsive along with a general slowdown in opening and using various programs (Outlook, Word, Acrobat, etc.) and even network browsing.I am not sure which Windows update is causing the problems, but they go away when we uninstall both of them. Anyone experiencing problems after installing Windows 10 updates or any help on troubleshooting the problem.

Thanks,

John

I had both updates installed 2020-07-15 on a Z4 G4 and have no issues with general slowdowns in Outlook, Word, Excel, Acrobat, other Adobe applications. I am using Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud so i have the very latest versions installed on Windows 10, 2004, Build 19041.388. So it can be due to the versions you have on apps and OS.

Some disagree, but when those problems happens and when they seems hard, near to impossible to fix, i just do a clean install of Win 10 and re-install the apps i use. For me that saves time since i don´t have 1000 different apps that needs to be installed and configured. I always go to Microsoft to download Win 10 and create a bootable USB stick and then install the drivers from HP followed by the apps i use.
