Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My current TPM is 1.2

Manufacturer Version: 3.17

Specification Version: 1.2

Manufacturer Name: IFX

How do I upgrade the TPM to version 2.0?

The TPMConfig64 that I downloaded didn't work

there are workarounds to the tpm issue (replacing one file in win 11 with a win 10 dll) however since the win 11 is a first release beta i would not recommend using it on a production system win 10 is supported till 2025

Can I buy a TPM 2.0 module and replace the 1.2 module?

HP Recommended

no, a tpm 2.0 module uses a different chip so unless the maker of your current 1.2 chip releases a update for it (unlikely) you will not be able to update

Thank you.  That's a bummer.  I am stuck with Windows10, then.

if you cant install win11, how do you replace a dll?

HP Recommended

if you don't know how to replace the DLL, (a very basic task) then you should not be installing a Beta OS

regardless of my opinion, if you wish to proceed with the dll replacement, then GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND
