It is possible to install samsung 970 pro M.2 on the HP z turbo drive g2?
Is it possible to boot windows 10 64 bit from PCIe with installed ssd M.2 970 pro?
Would the speed of the 970 pro be limited by the hp z turbo drive g2?
Someone did some tests?
Thanks in advance for your answers

the HP zx40 line of workstations support booting from nvme SSD's they also support booting from SATA based SSD's using the onboard sata ports
some models of the zx40 line have onboard m.2 pci-e slots for SSD's, all models support the addin M.2 pci-e carrier cards
the HP turbo pro line consista of a custom PCI-E card that holds either a SATA or nvme based SSD this card only appears to work in the HP workstation line and not on other systems
i suspect that you might be able to replace the SM951 ssd's with another model of SSD and have the custom HP card/ssd boot/work in a HP workstation. the only issue might be the custom firmware HP uses on their SSD's a retail ssd firmware should work but is not yet confirmed
