Seada_98,
The Quadro FX3800 is a full size GPU from about 2008- it will not fit or have the right kind of cooling. To use a Quadro in the 8760w, it needs to be an "M' for Mobile.
The originally supplied GPU's were:
- AMD FirePro M5950 with 1GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory (Microsoft DirectX 11 (Shader Model 5.0) and OpenGL 4.0 capable)
- AMD Eyefinity Technology supports up to five independent displays when using an HP Advanced Docking station
- NVIDIA Quadro 3000M with 2GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory (Microsoft DirectX 11 (Shader Model 5.0) and OpenGL 4.0 capable)
- NVIDIA Quadro 4000M with 2GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory (Microsoft DirectX 11 (Shader Model 5.0) and OpenGL 4.0 capable)
- NVIDIA Quadro 5010M with 4GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory (Microsoft DirectX 11 (Shader Model 5.0) and OpenGL 4.0 capable)
So any of those will fit and have the correct power rating.
According to Passmark baselines, the best 3D performance is using the next series Kepler Quadros, the K3100M and K4000M
In general, the later the series, less power is used.
