HP Z2 Mini G4 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The PC (32 GB, 2 TB HD with 500 GB SSD in-situ) is working fine with all program running, and checking the hardware and software check through HP site and in-built HP user software, there is no fault anywhere detected yet after updating Windows 10 this morning, the PC is giving this unusual message of "post-error, 900-fan detection error" which remains unexplained.  The fan is noisily running, which is also funny because the computer is clean of dust etc and it does not smell like anything is heating up or burning..... could this be early warning sign of the motherboard going or something else?  Could you please assist this dilemma?

Yours truly

a noisy fan and a bios fan error is usually due to a failing fan, and not a motherboard issue.

replace the fan
