Product: HP Z640 Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Going to install new soundcard  Creative Sound BlasterX AE5- into z640, and I would like to make use of on card Intel HD audio header 10 pin, while z640 (440/840) front audio cable has 12 pin on motherboard.

Anyone please knows pinout ?  What are extra 2 pins for ?

10 pins of the 12 pins is same as intel HD aduio.

The other 2 pins are used to detect wether the aduio cable is connected.

Just connect the two pins together.you won't meet post error on boot period.
