Hi i have one Z620 with pny gtx 1080 xlr8 installed with one 6 to 8 pin adapter
is pci -e 16x ver 2 or 3?
because when i check with GPU-Z i find only v2 run

I find the link Nvidia Geforce Gen3 pci-e unlock
it need to run with admin privilege
And finally it works

The PCIe 16x slots are 3.0.
I suspect that you have Sandybridge v1 CPU installed in the system in this case by default the Nvidia drivers set the speed to 2.0.
You can however 'unlock' 3.0 speed by installing a patch from Nvidia - google it or check my previous posts, I have posted a link to it.
