Hi!

I have several devices:

- VBP-e as ALG (for external calls)

- RMX 2000 as MCU

- Some HDXs (several internal and one external with public address for testing purposes).

Scheme:

Internet <---> (Public IP) VBP (Internal IP) <---> RMX and HDXs.

RMX is registered on VBP's Gatekeeper with prefix "11" (not as gateway).

Calls from internal (RMX) to external are working properly.

The problem is that I can't callin from external endpoint (HDX 8000 with Public IP address located somewhere in Internet) to internal aliases (Entry Queue or  other conferences on RMX).

Call is made as

(VBP Public IP) ## 11XXXX , where 11 - prefix of RMX and XXXX - conference ID or 1000 - entry queue.

Are any ideas about the issue ?

Hello

please share with us the software versions of your servers.

try call to (VBP Public IP) ## 11, and your call will go to RMX's Default EQ.

another way:

on VBP add  Prefix routing rule (VoIP ALG > H.323 > Neighboring)

Prefix: for example [111000-111999]

Index: 1

Strip: blank

Drop on WAN: blank

Add: blank

Neighbor: blank

Local Zone: name of zone

Address: RMX's signaling IP

Regards

Hi,

Software version:

RMX 8.3.0.245

VBP 11.2.16

I'll try to make calls little bit later.

I've configure added prefix routing rule you've advised (for prefixes 111000-111999)

I'm trying to make test call from HDX with public IP to RMX EQ via VBP (Public IP addesses skiped):

1) Call using <VBP PUBLIC IP>  (without any alias):

Call Termination   "ts" - <HDX PUBLIC IP>
  "" -  <VBP PUBLIC IP>
    Mar 18 10:41:46   Duration: 0:00:00
Call-ID: BF0981DD-1900-001F-147E-DF2CF58AFB19
Call-Status: Incoming Q.931 TCP connection established
Termination Cause: Cannot find client

2) Call using <VBP PUBLIC IP> ## 11 (where "11" is RMX prefix which registered on VBP's gatekeeper)

Call Termination   "ts" - <HDX PUBLIC>
  "11" - 172.20.16.14 <--- ITS RMX     Mar 18 10:42:43   Duration: 0:00:00
Call-ID: 2A4A4A06-2700-001F-147E-DF2CF58AFB19
Call-Status: Callee admission request received
Termination Cause: Cannot resolve destination

3) Call using <VBP PUBLIC IP> ## 111000 (where "11" is RMX prefix, and "1000" is EQ ID)

Call Termination   "ts" - <HDX PUBLIC IP>
  "111000" - 172.20.16.14 <--- RMX IP
    Mar 18 10:43:20

Duration: 0:00:02
Call-ID: 5BFB1D4F-2F00-001F-147E-DF2CF58AFB19
Call-Status: Q.931 signaling received and forwarded
Termination Cause: Call ended by destination

1) Call using <VBP PUBLIC IP>  (without any alias)

if you'd like use <VBP PUBLIC IP>  (without any alias) you should configure the Default Alias (VoIP ALG > H.323 ), put to this field 11XXXX number.

2) Call using <VBP PUBLIC IP> ## 11 (where "11" is RMX prefix which registered on VBP's gatekeeper)

it realy isn't working because VBP answers AdmissionReject (rejectReason: calledParttyNotRegistered) to RMX and I have not idea how it can be fixed.

3) Call using <VBP PUBLIC IP> ## 111000 (where "11" is RMX prefix, and "1000" is EQ ID)

Did you add athe prefix range in brackets? [ ]

this way works, when RMX is unregistered on VBP

Hi Bazzuck,

1) I've tried to use "default alias", but still no success.

3) I was using prefix [111000-111999], (with brackets, as you told me), but RMX was registered on VBP. I've not tried to unregister it and make call.

If RMX will be unregistered, could it make external (internet) calls through VBP?

I've tried to use "default alias", but still no success.

Yes, I'm sorry, it's my mistake, you should configure only RMX alias (11 for you) in the Default Aliase field. and your HDX will fall in RMX's EQ.

If RMX will be unregistered, could it make external (internet) calls through VBP?

No, it couldn't. RMX must be registered on VBP for dial-out calls to Internet through VBP.

Hi Bazzuck,

You were right. It's enough just to specify Prefix routing rule for Coneference or EQ IDs to make inbound calls from Internet to RMX. It's realy working, but I can't add external (internet) participants to conference using Dialout on RMX, becouse it's not registered on Gatekeeper 😞

Also, I've discovered that none of internal HDXs can call to EQ or Conference when that RMX is registered on VBP's Gatekeeper.

Anyway, I'll try to do some workaround.

Hello!

Have you manage to fix this?
I'm in the same situation, my VBP has 11.2.24 version:
1. I can place external calls from my HDX (registered internally to the gatekeeper)
2. I can dial my HDX from outside using VBP public IP + extension
3. I cannot call my RMX EQ

4. I cannot call from a registered endpoint toa VMR from the RMX.

I tried Public Ip only because may default alias is 88
I tried to dial Public Ip + 88+VMR- (xxxx##88xxxx)

H.323 activity shows:
1. Call-Status: Q.931 signaling received and forwarded
Termination Cause: Call ended by destination
2.Call-Status: Callee admission request received
Termination Cause: Cannot resolve destination
