will an RMX with MPM+ card be upgradede to v7.1 and thus be integrated with Lync?

Yes, 7.1 is required for supported Lync integration but 7.2.1.25 is the most recent release and is recommended as 7.2 includes support for Real Time Video (RTV) and provides for higher video resolutions than just CIF with Microsoft endpoints.
