Product: CD-Writer Plus 8210e
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I am looking for the Windows XP driver for the HP CD-Writer Plus 8210e. I've been trying to download from the HP site but the download never starts.

Hi:

 

See if the driver I zipped up and attached below works for you...

 

I think you have to manually install the driver because I don't see a setup application.

 

Plug the CD burner into the USB port.

 

An unknown device should show up with a ? mark next to it.

 

Click on that device, click on the driver tab, click on update driver, and select the manual search.

 

Browse to the unzipped driver folder>select the HPUATA setup information file and the driver should install.

You're very welcome.

 

You can try the above steps to see if the driver will install on W7.

 

That is the only driver I could find.  I don't believe HP ever released any drivers for that device for Vista or W7.
