Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I have been trying to update the system. I have Windows 8 and I CAN´T update it. When I try to update I always receive this notification "Error code 0x8007232B - DNS name does not exit" and I have tried MANY other ways to update it. I even tried to reset the PC but I cannot update it even! When I try to reset it, appears a message that asks me to activate windows and, guess, I can´t.  I tried to go to an HP Support Department but after I paid and supposedly recieve help, the PC was the same. It´s really annoying and stressing not knowing why this is happening. Please Help ME

@Gabo_Bocanegra,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to install the Windows updates on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

As you have mentioned that the Windows is not activated on your computer, if Windows is not activated you will not be able to install the updates. I recommend you activate the Windows first and then you should be able to install the updates without any issue.

Follow the steps in the below article to update Windows.

Take care.

Cheers!
