HP Gen 8 Hom server
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hope someone can help. Im trying to download the bios for my gen 8 home server. iLo says the server is registered to my email address. The server is under a year old so i know im entitled to it and even if not theres no where i can see how to update or even gain access to the bios. The HP site is totally baffling and whenever i try to find and make inroads to finding it i just end up going round in circles.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

PS i posted in Commercial pc software as theres no server option.

Hi:

As far as I am aware, all server support is handled by the HP Enterprise Corporation.

That should have been a clue.  🙂

This is the wrong company for Servers, Storage, and Networking. Please use the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community:

Thanks but thats not a fix as such. That points me to the enterprise area. Of which i suspect will send me round and round in circles...

While i accept that, thats the server area. The hp home server is marketed as....a home server but at the same time a proliant. I must confess i tend to steer away from HP as a manufacturer in pretty well everything i use and try to influence my workplace accordingly (sys admin) one of the reasons being is the hp site...searches dont work very well being the main gripe which reflects in the ilo option on gen8, convoluted and not very helpful.
