HP Device Manager 4.7 SP 7
Microsoft Windows Server 2016

I am attempting to move this software off of an existing server, on to a new server which is running Windows Server 2016.

I have run into some issues when attempting to restore from the back up of the previous HP Device Manager.

I created a new database (As we do not want to migrate, as we are keeping using the postgres SQL not moving from postgres -> MS SQL) temporarily after installing on my new server.

However, when attempting to restore the backup to import it into the new machine, I received this error:  "Info: The file does not exist - brfiles.conf" when using the back up made from the original server.

I still have the original server running (Though I stopped services when trying to do this the evening previous, including to do the backup) - However, the new server 'restore' throws that error but then also will not let me create a new setup for the Master Repository, it fails several queries, etc, when trying to log in.

Any assistance would be appreciate and I can provide more detailed information as needed.

Thank you!

Hello,

We are experiencing the same issue when we migrate our Postgre SQL DB to a 2016 Server OS.

At the very bottom of the Restore message in the HPDM Server Backup and Restore Tool it says, "

Ifno: The file does not exist - brfiles.conf

Any HP assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you!
