I’m using trying to use HP Manageability Integration Kit (MIK)” (2.6.13.1) and “HP MIK Client” (2.6.3.1) to manage BIOS settings and password on a number HP computers in SCCM. I have created a policy to push out the BIOS Password and configured the baseline to deploy this to a number of test PC's. However everytime the policy is pushed out to the test PC's the compliance status comes back with error 0x87d00329 Application requirement evaluation or detection failed .
In Event View the error message is Property Name=_SetupPassword, Execution Phase=Remediation, Description=Calling the MIK Provider returned null. Please check whether 'HP_BIOSConfig' is installed., Compliance Result = Non-Compliant. I have double checked and the BIOS Config Utility is installed.
Does the new version of the MIK tools work with WIndows 10 (1809)?

Hello
did you read the HP MIK USer Guide ?
on the clients you must install these software
- HP Mik Client (includes BiosConfigUtility) https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp93001-93500/sp93008.exe
- HP Client Security Manager https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp95501-96000/sp95658.exe
optional , but it's better to install also them if you have EliteDesktop or Notebook with these features.
- HP Sure Recover
- HP Sure Run
for the White Paper : https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HPMIK.html
ciao

Hiya,
I am having the same sort of issue and have found this post.
Why do you say that you must install the HP Client Security Manager? My understanding is that you only need the HP MIK Client for BIOS configuration according to https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HPMIK.html
The error only mentions about whether 'HP_BIOSConfig' is installed which is part of the HP MIK Client.

Hello Simon
you are right, HP MIK client should be enought.
I could be wrong.
I always installed HP Client Security Manager , in addiction to MIK Client , and I never see the error about Hp BiosConfigUtility.exe.
I may try in the next days. I have my VM server with HP MIK. I just need to find the time with a client to try.
I make take an Elitebook, use HP Sure Recover to reinstall the HP factoy Windows 10 installation
Join the domain
Install HP MIK Client only
try to change a BIOS parameter.
do you know HP even published for Client Management Power Shell script Library , with a cmdlet able to remotly change a BIOS parameter ?
bye
