Softpaq Download Manager
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a question. We are using Softpaq Download Manager latest of everything.... We download drivers for like 10 different models to one folder. There is like 50 different downloads in that folder now. Is there any way to "read" out from that folder in to Softpaq Download Manager what version and what files that is downloaded? If I close and open Softpaq Download Manager, it seems to "reset" that information. And if we are going to delete one SP files how should we do that in the right way? it is not so easy to have good control over all of the drivers when they are located in the same folder. But we don´t want to donwload each driver for each model, because alot of driver are the same and then we have a lot of dublicated files. Please get back to we so I understand how this suppose to work. After download, we using SSM.exe to deploy the drivers.

Thank you

It sounds like you are trying to create customization where there is limited ability to do so.  Maybe.  The software provides some limited filtering when downloading for multiple platforms.

SDM - Softpaq Download Manager - was actually retired in July of 2019.  While the software is still functional for products manufactured before that EOL date, SDM will not be updated to include any new products, nor will the software itself be upgraded past its current version.

If you are ready to do so, it might be time to investigate the possibility of moving to the HP Image Assistant.

Caveat

There have been a couple of glitches in  HPIA that surfaced with the (now relatively) recent emergence of Windows V1909; these are being addressed by HP and hopefully now (or very soon) all the remaining issues will be resolved.

Will the HPIA accomplish what you want?  Unknown - might be worth a look.

Business Class Software Update Managers

Newer business class computers are supported in the HP Image Assistant management grade software.

At this writing: If your computer was manufactured before the EOL date for the Software Download Manager, you can choose to use (or continue using) SDM.

with new product launched after July 31st, 2019. HP recommends using HP Image

If you can do so, it is time to migrate to the  HP Image Assistant

Thank you for information!

I Will download and try that, do I still need to use SSM.exe to deploy drivers or is that builtin in the other tool?

SSM is a multi-system deployment tool.

HP System Software Manager

HPIA is a single system analyzer and update manager.

I would assume that you still need your deployment tools.
