Hi,

I'm trying to use the HP Image Assistant (HPIA) 4.1.2 to download drivers from behind a proxy.

When I try to use the application I get the error "Internet connection is required. Verify the PC is connected to the Internet and try again."

I documentation states to ensure that the following URLs can be reached by your default browser https://hpia.hpcloud.hp.com/ and https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/imagepal/ref/platformList.html, I can get to both of these URLS.

Does anyone know if there are any other URLS that need to be unblocked or what ports HPIA uses?

Hi

Nope.

But you try FTP    https://filezilla-project.org/

Cut out using a browser, and connect directly, hopefully.

Late edit.

Status: Resolving address of ftp.hp.com
Status: Connecting to 15.73.48.55:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Insecure server, it does not support FTP over TLS.

Thanks Lil_Boy_Blue however I specifically wish to use the HPIA tool so I can download the latest driver packs to import into SCCM, I just need to know what ports it uses so I can put in a request to have our proxy opened up.

Hi

Your IT team will tell you that.

There are standard port numbers, like 80 or 21 or 23.

But when I was at college we were told about using alternative ports.

So ask them.
