HP 250 G6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Installed win 7 pro 64bit OS on a HP 250 G6 laptop that was designed for Win 10 OS & not for win 7 pro, like many I dont trust Microsoft either, I disstrust win 10, My problem is my HP 250 G6 that I cant find drivers for the HP 250 G6 laptop with the new win 7 pro OS, It ain't working right ontill i can find drivers for my HP 250 G6 Machine with win 7 pro Installed, Does someone know the way to make my machine work with win 7 pro as I need the drivers, as though they'd be costom built for this settup & HP won't be happy to hear what i'v done, you may think "Try Linux" &, I already am, win 7 pro is more secure than win 10, win 10 has many privacy problems, its voulnrable to many attacks, win 7 is also voulnrable but a little more secure & most attacks are on win 10 machines, so, im trying to take my chances with win 7 pro & need a certain breed of drivers for my machine , is there a place  I could have them made by some 3rd party specialist...?... Id appriciate one's time and effort if they know something,

Thanks,

Bunglor.

Hi:

You can read through this discussion.

You will not get the wifi to work if your notebook also has the Inte 3168 AC wifi adapter...

Hey Paul, I found some CMDs,

1. The name of your wireless card is usualy "wlan" or "wlan0", when using windows OS's one normaly uses "wlan" in the CMDline.

2. Depending on your part of the world or say in the US you may have to type "mon0" instead of "wlan" or "Wlan0".

OK, Paul you might have the same information as myself when you look below at these CMD's.

The "C:\Windows\System32\mblctr.exe" will open a window that give more options on enable/disable wireless connection.

type "netsh interface set interface "Wireless Network Connection" admin=disabled" into CMDline to disconnect from the web.

type "netsh interface set interface "Wireless Network Connection" admin=enabled" into CMDline to re-connect to the web.

Ok Paul im not so sure on CMD below as the CMD looks as though to "disconnect interface", I may be wrong but this looks like its saying
to disconect the interface (wlan(0), be careful using terminals in any OS, i am not saying not to try the CMD's below.
you may think what else have you to loose.

"netsh wlan disconnect interface"Wireless Network Connection"

"netsh wlan connect name=(Paul's network) ssid=(password here) interface"Wireless Network Connection"

You might of thought about it, its only another option, Desable your wlan(0) or mon(0) and invest in a worth while wireless
USB adapter, to dasble the adapter just safely unplug from a USB port, to connect to the internet, plug it in again.

You could try an "ALFA AWUS03NHA" for around 38-40 Dollars or try another wlan from the same company like the "ALFA AWUS036NEH" wireless
Adapter both are 802.11 and b/g/n compatible, one is stronger than the other.

At this moment i just can't keep my eye's open with the tiredness, if i have a solution tomorrow i will let you know.

Thanks Paul,

Bunglor.

You're very welcome.

I hope you will be able to figure out why the wlan radio is off, and how to turn it back on.

No one else has been able to thus far.

I don't own a 250 G6, so I can't be of further help with the wireless, but the link I posted, and the link I referenced within that link should give you all of the other drivers you need.

Hello again Paul,

To Disable & re-enable your wireless adapter try these Commands for win vista/7 may or maynot work in win 8, 8.1 or 10.

1. Open "CMD prompt" (As Administrator).

2. In the terminal, you will see "C:\WINDOWS\system32>"

3. Type "netsh interface show interface"

It should look like this "C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface show interface"  and press "enter" button.

you should see the name of your wireless interface, namely "WI-FI".

4. Disable WI-FI, you'l see "C:\WINDOWS\system32>" now type "netsh interface set interface WI-FI disabled"  press "enter"

5. To re-anable wifi type "netsh interface set interface WI-FI enabled"  press "enter".

As you close the terminal type "exit" & press "enter" button.

I dont know what your OS is no'r your machine, try the cmd's if you like & i hope they'll work for you.

Thanks,

Bunglor.
