Hi
Why if it came with W10 would you downgrade it?
There may only be HP or scour the individual component makers sites as options.
IF you post a bit more like
Make Model and OS
Drivers needed for which hardware items, then help may be provided.

Hi
Isn't the charger independant of the OS?
HP Pavilion x2 12-b100 Detachable PC?
It's a choice of W10 or W10.
HP Pavilion x2 - 10-k007na
Has a W8 option.
But without a Model number it is hard to help.

also ... One of the reasons that made it hotter ... Antivirus Windows 10 was disabled and I installed it instead of "avast" which was significantly better! Mostly, because I want to install 8 ... But it's a little hot again ..

But I'm pretty sure that the software problem is ...
Because when the 8 was installed it did not get hot!؟
But I did not have my drivers(8 drivers)!
Drivers 10 did not on 8 respond And certainly it should not work
In your opinion, the problem can not be the drivers!
I downloaded the drivers from this site.

Hi
The heat is from he workload, as you appreciate, but I would not say that W10 would run hotter than W8.
So maybe W8 has fewer background services, and that is the difference.
My BIOS has the option to have the fan running a all times, and that is what I choose, which might give me a jaundiced view.
