I have a loaner, HP Pro Slate 10 EE G1, from HP. I am trying to find a way to update boot.img and system.img. I have tried all three different modes, recovery, boot-loader, and DnX mode. They are all failed on me. It seems to me the bootloader is locked. Can support send me the open source code to unlock the bootloader?

1) In recovery mode, I tried both apply update from external storage and ADB.

  • when I try it via external storage, I was getting "E:failed to mount /sdcard (No such file or directory)"
  • when I use adb sideload, I was getting "E:failed to verify whole-file signature from /tmp/update.zip"

2) In boot-loader mode, I couldn't able to let fastboot connect to the tablet. When I enter "fastboot getvar all", I was getting "< waiting for device >" on my PC;

3) In DnX mode, I was able to use fastboot connect to tablet, but I can flash any images. For instance,

C:\adb>fastboot devices -l

Baytrail0FD29C45       fastboot

C:\adb>fastboot -s Baytrail0FD29C45 flash boot boot.img

sending 'boot' (9984 KB)...

OKAY [  0.392s]

writing 'boot'...

FAILED (remote: unknown command)

finished. total time: 0.397s
