Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I upgraded to El Capitan for my laptop at home and then discovered through other posts here that it doesn't work with the new Mac OS system El Capitan.  This is unbelieveable.  I wasted so much time trying to get it to work.  I also have the same printer at work. HP you need to fix this. I work for a large university and you can bet we won't be getting HP printers if we have to replace all of the older HPs that don't work with our macs with the mac system upgrade.  PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP and let us know when the fix is coming!!!!  I need to figure out if I print elsewhere for a while, or go back to Yosemite
