Hi everyone,
I'd like to highlight an important aspect of laptop design that often goes unnoticed: battery health. Specifically, I believe that HP Spectre laptops could benefit from an inbuilt battery limiter feature.
Most modern laptops come with this feature, allowing users to manage their battery health effectively. By setting custom charging thresholds, users can avoid unnecessary wear and prolong their battery life.
We're all aware of the environmental impact of e-waste. When batteries degrade prematurely, they often end up discarded. By optimizing battery health, we contribute to sustainability by reducing the need for replacements.
Yes, HP Spectre laptops do have the "Adaptive Battery Optimizer" option in the BIOS. However, it lacks the granularity that my solution would provide.
Imagine having the ability to configure your laptop to charge only up to 50%, 80% or any user defined percentage. This simple tweak could significantly extend battery life and reduce long-term costs.

Well Hp claims themselves as Eco friendly but they cant just make a simple software to limit the battery charge which is available in almost all other brands like Asus, Acer, Dell, Lenovo except HP ( as they are very "Eco Friendly"). I guess they just want to increase their sales by selling more batteries every year. People have been requesting HP for this feature's wide release for nearly a decade but they don't seem to care at all.
