HP Chromebook 14A G5
Chrome OS

Dear HP Customer Care Team,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the quality and performance of the HP Chromebook I purchased two years ago. Within this short period, a wide gap has developed between the upper and lower portions of the laptop when closing. Initially, I ignored this issue for several months, assuming it was a minor alignment problem. However, the problem worsened, and upon closer examination, I discovered that it is due to the swelling of the battery. The battery has bulged out the keyboard area, causing it to hit the screen and preventing the laptop from closing properly.

I now realise that the swollen battery poses a serious risk, and I fear it might explode. This is highly concerning and unacceptable. I have never encountered such a problem with any of the machines I have purchased for myself or my sons.

I expected much better quality from HP products.

I urge you to address this matter promptly and provide a solution. Despite being out of warranty, I believe that such a severe issue should not occur in a product of this age, and HP should take responsibility for the defect. I am requesting either a free battery replacement or another appropriate remedy to ensure the safety and functionality of my laptop.

I hope to hear back from you soon regarding this issue. Thank you for your attention and prompt resolution.

Sincerely,

Arvind Jolly
