Customer Non-Support

HP Recommended

Just a note to anyone thinking of using the tech support. For 23 months I've had to put up with a cd burner that was defective. Each time I called for help, I was told my warranty had expired. I spent many hours on the phone going back and forth about the warranty and most of the time I didn't even get to tell them why I called. When I bought the desk top from HP Shopping I got the 2 year extended warranty (1-11-2007). After many calls, sending receipts, sending faxes, being transferred, they still said It was out of warranty and would not help me. Even after a rep from hp shopping told the tech that I had the warranty and the tech decided I had a bad cd burner, he came back and said sorry your warranty is out. I finally got  someone to find I had the extended plan and send someone to fix my cd burner. So I ended up with 1 month of the extended warranty (my last month). When I suggested they give me another 23 months, the manager Robin, told me he couldn't do that because my warranty started on the day I bought the computer. What an idiot. This is my last HP anything. This was pitiful!

Btw, on the Extended Warranty thing_if you buy 2  yr extended warranty it extends your standard 1 yr to 2 yrs, it doesn't add 2.
